Former president Olusegun Obasanjo says Nigerians can pay dearly if the nation succumbs to agitators clamour for secession.
Mr Obasanjo made the assertion in Lagos on Friday at a e book lunch in honour of Sunday Mbang, Prelate Emeritus of the Methodist Church Nigeria.
“The price of disintegration is larger than the price of being collectively. We’ve the whole lot to achieve by being united slightly than disunited,” Mr Obasanjo mentioned.
The previous president, who was the convener of the occasion, mentioned these fanning the embers of disunity are the enemies of Nigeria and shall be disgraced.
The launch of the e book, “My Life and Instances”, an autobiography of Mr Mbang, was to have fun the prelate on his eighty fifth birthday, which was on August 26.
Nigerian author and editor, Tony Kan, reviewed the e book, describing it as a chronicle of the true lifetime of the prelate with all the products and never too lots of the challenges of life.
