China’s Nanjing airport reopens after month-long closure

Nanjing Lukou Worldwide Airport, in east China’s Jiangsu Province, reopened on Thursday morning after a closure of almost one month on account of the COVID-19 virus.

Flight MU2923 from the airport to town of Qingdao, Shandong Province, took off at round 10:16 a.m. Thursday, making it the primary passenger airplane that resumed operation after a COVID-19 resurgence on the airport.

Nanjing cleared all medium and high-risk areas for COVID-19 on August 19, a month after native authorities had canceled all flights on the airport in the direction of the tip of July.

A brand new cluster of infections started to emerge on July 20 when just a few cleaners on the Nanjing airport examined optimistic throughout routine testing.
