A Brazilian lady has been sentenced to 31 years in jail for conspiring the homicide of her husband, the previous Greek ambassador to Brazil.
In 2016, Kyriakos Amiridis’ charred stays have been discovered within the boot of a burnt-out automotive in Rio de Janeiro.
His spouse Françoise de Souza Oliveira had been having an affair with a army police officer, Sergio Gomes.
Mr Gomes later admitted to killing the ambassador on the behest of his lover, and he has been jailed for 22 years.

Mr Amiridis served as consul in Rio de Janeiro from 2001-04, and returned to Brazil as ambassador the 12 months he was killed.
He married Françoise in 2004 and the couple have a daughter.
Earlier than his demise, Mr Amiridis had travelled from the capital, Brasilia, to town of Nova Iguacu, north of Rio, to spend the Christmas holidays along with his spouse and her mother and father.
Mrs Amiridis first reported him lacking, telling police that he’d left their flat with out clarification and pushed off in a rental automotive.
